Deadly Art & Design
Project type
Logo & Brand
Role
Designer
A particularly special project, designing a brand for myself. One of the more difficult projects I have created due to the client being, well, me.
Deadly Art & Design started out as Something Wonderful and it was that way for many many years, on Instagram mostly, but flowed out of that box into the world thanks to Hotel McCoy. When I first started designing a logo it was a simple flower, a forget-me-not. After many creative blocks I had to change everything and restart. I needed my brand to represent me and who I am while also standing out from the crowd. As a designer, it's always nice to do something a little different and out of the box, not so basic as everything seems to be in the Graphic Design world today.
That's when I landed on a deadly nightshade flower, which holds a special place close to my heart (literally). I've always been drawn to the delicacy of this flower. It may be "filled with poison, but blessed with beauty and rage", thanks Lana Del Rey.
Hidden within the main logo is "Ea", Elisha Ann. I plan to use this for my artwork and pottery in the future. A happy accident I did not realize until later on, call it fate.
